Carley Corporation to Provide Courseware Development Services for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program

Orlando, Florida, June 15, 2005 - Carley Corporation announced today a contract award to support Northrop Grumman Corporation in the design, development, and implementation of courseware for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program.

As one of six members of the F-35 Courseware Integrated Product Team under this contract, Carley will support training of aircrew and ground crew by designing, developing, integrating, testing, sustaining, and updating Interactive Courseware (ICW), Electronically Mediated Lecture (EML) material, instructor guides, student materials, training device courseware, and mission materials. The objective of the F-35 Courseware Integrated Product Team is to develop engaging, affordable, and easily updated pilot, maintenance, and infrastructure courseware.

Carley’s subcontractors include Pennant Training Systems Ltd and BGI. Carley will lead the team by providing project management and local liaison with Northrop Grumman, which is responsible for the global effort to create F-35 training system courseware that addresses all aspects of pilot and maintainer training, including use of portable maintenance aids. As a principal member of the Lockheed Martin F-35 team, Northrop Grumman is also responsible for pilot and maintainer cadre training development and course instruction in support of the flight test program.

The F-35 is a multi-role stealth fighter designed to meet the unique needs of the U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps, and the United Kingdom ’s Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.
