Selected to Upgrade MTVR-TS
August
20, 2003
Carley Corporation
has been awarded the contract to revise and upgrade the interactive
courseware, computer-assisted instruction, and electronic classrooms
for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement
Training System (MTVR-TS).
In addition to Carley, the integrated product team for this effort
consists of representatives from the Program Manager, Training
Systems, MARCORSYSCOM in Orlando, FL; the MTVR Formal Learning
Centers at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO and Camp Johnson, NC; and the Marine
Corps College of Continuing Education in Quantico, VA.
The MTVR-TS consists of two courses: The Motor Vehicle Operator
Course (MVOC), and the Automotive Organizational Maintenance Course
(AOMC) covering the HMMWV and MTVR vehicles. The upgrade contract
provides a technological upgrade of hardware and software for the
electronic classrooms as well as a design upgrade of all of the
multimedia courseware to increase interactivity, engage students
in higher-level thinking such as problem-solving and scenarios,
and incorporate the latest SCORM and Section 508 standards.
