Corporation Exhibit at ADL Conference in Orlando
Tuesday, September 5, 2000
Starting
today, Carley Corporation staff members are welcoming participants
to their exhibition booth at the Advanced Distributed Learning Conference
(ADLC), being held at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. For three days
(September 5, 6,and 7), participants can speak with Carley instructional
designers, graphic artists, and project managers about customized
training solutions and view (and get copies of) Carley's demonstration
CD. Sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense,
the conference is subtitled, "The Learning Environment of the Future."
Panels and discussions will focus on two main issues: Delivering
training to dispersed locations (distance learning) and developing
courseware that is conformable to SCORM (Sharable Courseware Object
Reference Model) with a common platform for business, defense, and
academia.

About
ADL
In November 1997, the Department of Defense (DoD) and
the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) launched
the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) initiative. The result
is a consortium of government organizations, over 1,600 colleges
and universities, and 150 corporations-all collaborating to develop
an open architecture for online learning. While some ADL activities
focus on instructional content development and delivery using current
and emerging technologies, other projects focus on next-generation
open architecture for online learning.
