Carley Corporation Selected to Develop Anti-Submarine Warfare and Basic Tactical Course Curriculum for NAVAIR

Orlando , Florida , September 28, 2005 - Carley Corporation announced today another win under the US Navy’s Training Systems Contract (TSC) II Contract. Carley Corporation was awarded the contract for the development of web-based training for Anti-Submarine Warfare Evaluators as well as web-based training for the Surface Warfare Officer School ’s (SWOS) Basic Tactical Course. Both sets of classified curriculum will be delivered to the Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center in San Diego and SWOS in Newport , RI .

This task order will involve developing self-paced, scenario-based training to enhance cognitive skill development. The web-based training will be used as initial and refresher training by prospective Anti-Submarine Warfare Evaluators and Department Heads. The goal is to revise the existing curriculum through reduction of the amount of instructor-led classroom-based training by delivering initial instruction via self-paced interactive multimedia format.

The courseware will be designed with high levels of interactivity, including simulations that provide learners with hands-on simulated effects of system operations and emulate environments in which they are employed. The courseware will be compliant with SCORM 2004, ADA Section 508, and the Navy Content Object Model (NCOM), and will meet the standards for the Navy’s Integrated Learning Environment.
