Carley
Corporation was featured in a special segment on Central Florida
News Channel 13, as they wrapped up video production for the
interactive simulations being developed for the National Institute
of Justice. Using actual students from Orlando's Winter Park
High School, Carley is developing a web-based simulation where
School Resource Officers (SROs) nationwide can view "real
scenarios" and make decisions about what actions they
should take.
SROs are
uniformed law enforcement personnel. The interactive program
allows the SRO to practice critical skills in a simulated
environment, and see the consequences of both correct and
incorrect actions. The program involves real life problems
such as bomb threats, drug use, hostile behavior, and student
fights.
The program
is being developed under a Broad Agency Announcement Contract
with the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division. |
