September 29, 2006 - Carley Corporation Selected to Deliver Shipboard Combat Systems Course Curriculum under Seaport-e Program

Orlando , Florida , September 29, 2006 - Carley Corporation announced today their first win under the Navy’s SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) acquisition program. The Center for Surface Combat Systems, Dahlgren , VA awarded the contract for the development of courses that will educate and train personnel in basic, advanced, and specialized technical and military skills in the doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures to operate shipboard combat systems, sub-systems and equipment in order to meet the missions of the U.S. Navy.

The web-based courseware will be designed with high levels of interactivity, including simulations that provide learners with hands-on simulated effects of system operations and emulate environments in which they are employed. The courseware will be compliant with SCORM 2004, ADA Section 508, and the Navy Content Object Model (NCOM), and will meet the standards for the Navy’s Integrated Learning Environment (ILE).

The Task Order is valued at approximately $9M and is scheduled to be completed in 24 months. Carley’s subcontractors include L-3 Communications/D.P. Associates and Northrop Grumman Defense Mission Systems.
