Carley
Wins Contract with the Office of Personnel Management
September 27, 2001
Carley Corporation
has been awarded a large-scale five-year indefinite quantities contract
with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). OPM is mandated through
Congress to provide a highly skilled, highly trained federal work
force, and they provide training support to over 40 different federal
agencies.
Carley was one
of 18 firms selected to provide a full range of training product
development and support including web-based training, instructor-led
training, knowledge management and advanced distributed learning.
Competition was stiff, and the demands of the contractor were stringent.
Among other things, Carley had to show significant past project
experience in 14 different areas, and provide four past multimedia
projects that met certain criteria. Because of the rigorous requirements,
Carley was one of only 3 small businesses chosen.
Carley Corporation
President Sharon Wolford says she expects this contract alone to
allow Carley to more than double in size in the next few years.
