June 2, 2006 – Carley wins place as Prime on Seaport-e Contract

Carley Corporation was announced as a 2006 Awardee for the SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) acquisition program. The Navy Virtual SYSCOM (VS) Commanders (NAVAIR, NAVSEA, NAVSUP and SPAWAR) have designated SeaPort-e as the vehicle of choice for Engineering, Financial, and Program Management contractor support services. SeaPort-e is geared to satisfy the mission and requirements of the U.S. Navy Surface and Undersea Warfare Centers .

The SeaPort-e vehicle is comprised of seven regional zones in which task orders are competed based upon the principal place of performance. Carley Corporation is qualified to provide services in all seven of the regional zones across the United States .

As a SeaPort-e contract holder, Carley is eligible to provide a variety of services within 22 functional areas that include:

  • Training support – Instructional design and organization development activities targeting knowledge, skills, and attitudes to support warfighting capabilities.

  • Modeling, simulation, stimulation, and analysis support – Creation of physical or mathematical representations of systems using models and emulators, including simulators to generate data for the purposes of decision-making.

  • Software engineering, development, programming, and network support – Development or selection of hardware and computer software for training facilities, including planning, designing, coding, testing, integrating, supporting, and delivering software and network systems.

  • Information systems development, information assurance, and information technology support – Provide information system training and documentation, and modify, implement, and maintain web based information systems and links.

SeaPort-e uses streamlined acquisition procedures with a web-based e-procurement portal and SeaPort-e website. The government estimates that $5 billion of services will be procured each year via orders issued under the SeaPort-e Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts.
