Carley Corporation Awarded Contract by Army's Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation

January 29, 2009, Orlando Florida - Carley Corporation has been awarded two contracts under the Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Omnibus Contract II (STOC II) by the Army's Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). Carley bid - and won - contracts entitling the company to compete for tasks specifically reserved for small businesses (set aside/restricted) and for tasks open to all bidders (full and open/unrestricted). In all, 118 companies were awarded contracts in the unrestricted category, and 84 in the small business (restricted) category.

The Army evaluated proposals based on four key criteria: a company's record of past performance, effective management practices, small business participation plan (applicable to large companies bidding in the unrestricted category), and cost/price.

With a funding ceiling of $17,500,000,000, STOC II is a major vehicle for the Army's simulation and training efforts and will be used by other military services and federal agencies as well. STOC II is a ten-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity multiple-award contract. Carley will be offering a broad range of training products and services through STOC II, including an array of computer- and web-based courseware and interactive multimedia instructional solutions.
