Press Release -
Carley
to Provide Training on Army's Secure Wireless LAN
January 2, 2002
Carley Corporation
is developing over 200 hours of training for system administrators,
maintenance personnel, and general purpose users of the US Army's
Secure Wireless Local Area Network. Northrop Grumman Information
Technology, the prime contractor on the multi-year SWLAN development
program, selected Carley as the sole training provider.
The ruggedized
LANs will be installed in several land-based vehicles and aircraft,
allowing the Army to send and receive encrypted data throughout
the battlefield while on the move. Carley will design, develop,
pilot, and validate the training materials, which include interactive
computer-based training, instructor-led training, and a three-day
Communications Exercise that uses real-world scenarios to provide
hands-on training with the actual equipment.
